Earth: Revisited

Description

After hundreds of years of research, the people of Veritas have finally uncovered a means of transportation and a way of returning to Earth. After Veritas lost contact with Earth nearly 450 years ago, the greatest minds on the planet have been hard at work at trying to find a way to one day return to the once mythical blue planet named Earth. They have done so, however, the planet known as Earth, the planet of lush green land and sparkling blue water, was nowhere to be found. Only the charred remains of a war that should have never been.

After some research of the planet, the star systems around it and the local planetary bodies around it, this planet is undoubtedly the planet known as Earth, but, now lacking the features that once made it the true home for Humanity.

Looking onto the planet, one immediately notices the red tint of the planet. This was caused because of a violent atmospheric deterioration caused by the simultaneous explosions of multiple Kraiger warheads within the atmosphere. These explosions combined sent enough disruption into the atmosphere that caused it to fall apart and shatter, rendering the planet uninhabitable. If one looks closely, they can see the craters left behind from the Kraiger warhead's explosions. The craters shown in the photo are those that exploded on a continent once known as 'North America'. After much investigation and research, the planet did in fact once have large bodies of water and huge civilizations. However, due to the Kraiger warheads, this is no longer remotely close to what we see today. In frightful comparison, the nearby planet known as 'Mars' bears striking similarities to Earth. The red atmosphere, previous signs of life and perhaps a habitable planet at one point in time, it makes one wonder, has this happened before? Unfortunately, no one will ever know.

8 hours in Photoshop, 30 minutes of procrastination, 30 minutes of blind anger in FLCE.
